Category: Tea

Ceylon tea first was cultivated in the late 1800s on the mystical island of Ceylon, today known as Sri Lanka. Brooklyn breakfast’s Ceylon tea leaves are harvested in the Sri Lankan highlands, which provide the ideal climate for incomparable taste. We carefully select leaves for peak flavor and meticulously oxidize the leaves to give this iconic black tea its unique, rich golden color when brewed. Not as highbrow as its English cousin, Brooklyn breakfast remains full-bodied and bold bracing on its own, or mellowed with milk and sugar.

Matthew K. ★★★★★

The highland origin really comes through in the flavor—it's brisk without being bitter, perfect for my morning routine. This has become my go-to for a steady caffeine kick that doesn't feel harsh.

Ellie ★★★★★

I was surprised how smooth this Ceylon tea is, with none of the bitterness I get from other black teas. The highland leaves brew up a nice rich color in just a few minutes. It’s become my go-to morning cup.

Sophia O. ★★★★★

The highland harvest really comes through—this Ceylon tea has that bright, crisp briskness I look for in a morning brew, without any bitterness. I've been drinking it black every day since the box arrived and it's become my non-negotiable first sip of the day.
